Es un videoclip ilustrado en pixelart y brevemente animado, con la intención de contar una historia sobre la ignorancia, todos los diseños son propios y originales, tanto los personajes como los ambientes y escenarios. Se propone una estética con paleta de colores reducida, en escala de grises principalmente, así mismo una ambientación atmosférica que posiciona los hechos representados en una especie de planeta distante y ancestral, referenciando a autores como H.P. Lovecraft y sus relatos.
It is an illustrated pixel art music video, briefly animated, with the intention of telling a story about ignorance. All designs, including characters and environments, are original and created by the artist. The video adopts a minimalist aesthetic with a limited color palette, primarily in grayscale. Additionally, it features an atmospheric setting that situates the events depicted on a distant and ancient planet, referencing authors such as H.P. Lovecraft and his stories.
La construcción del proyecto inicia con la selección de la estética a trabajar, la conceptualización de los personajes y el diseño preliminar de los escenarios, posteriormente la adaptación de la historia a un storyboard, comprendiendo la duración de la canción y los aspectos de vital importancia para la narrativa de la historia.
The project construction begins with the selection of the aesthetic to work with, conceptualization of the characters, and preliminary design of the environments. Subsequently, the story is adapted into a storyboard, considering the duration of the song and the essential aspects crucial to the narrative of the story
El siguiente paso fue la creación de cada escena planteada en el storyboard, buscando una regularidad en la apariencia de los personajes y los distintos espacios que habitan, jugando con los contrastes, dando paso a zonas más oscuras y zonas más luminosas.
The next step involved creating each scene outlined in the storyboard, aiming for consistency in the appearance of the characters and the various spaces they inhabit. This was achieved by playing with contrasts, transitioning between darker and lighter zones.
Luego del diseño de las imágenes se realizaron las animaciones, que en este caso eran breves y principalmente paneos a través de una gran imagen vertical u horizontal. Por último se procedió con ajustes y ediciones que integraran las escenas en una gran historia y que se relacionaran en ritmo y tiempo con la melodía de la canción.
After designing the images, the animations were created, which in this case were brief and primarily consisted of panning across a large vertical or horizontal image. Finally, adjustments and edits were made to integrate the scenes into a cohesive story that synchronized in rhythm and timing with the melody of the song.
Este fue el primer proyecto de este tipo que realice, y fue de mucha ayuda para aprender muchas cosas, principalmente del proceso de conceptualización y planeación de todo el proyecto y aun así reconocí durante el desarrollo que hay muchas cosas por mejorar y perfeccionar de cara a afrontar futuros proyectos y ofrecer un resultado mucho mejor y así mismo de una forma más óptima en cuanto al tiempo de desarrollo.
This was the first project of this kind that I undertook, and it was very helpful in learning many things, especially about the conceptualization and planning process for the entire project. However, I recognized during the development that there are many aspects to improve and refine in order to face future projects and deliver a much better result. It is also essential to optimize the development time efficiently.
